In 1992, Bob Kramer moved from working as door-to-door kitchen knife sharpener to opening his own knife-forging shop in Seattle. As a former chef, Kramer knew what made an exceptional knife, and with training from knife forging artisans, he learned what it took to create this essential tool. Bob Kramer is one of only about 100 Master Bladesmiths in the United States, and is the only one with this honor who creates only kitchen knives.
